There are races that are events, and races that are legendary. The Giir di Mont belongs to the latter category, and on July 25th and 26th it prepares to write a new chapter. With registration opening on Monday, April 27th, the Premana organization is refocusing on the true essence of the competition: the "race of the 13 mountain pastures" that for over thirty years has represented the university of trail and mountain running and has established itself at the highest levels worldwide, attracting nearly a thousand athletes of all ages each year ready to challenge themselves in a unique atmosphere.
After recent editions marked by world and national championship challenges, the 32nd edition returns to its original nature. A world title isn't needed to define the Giir di Mont; the now iconic passes are enough: Alpe Chiarino, Bocchetta di Larec, and Alpe Premaniga. The view of the peaks overlooking the Valvarrone valley is enough, and above all, the human warmth that is unparalleled in Italy. In Premana, the crowd doesn't just watch, they participate, cheer, and call out every single runner, professional or amateur, transforming the effort into a collective feat.

Saturday, July 25th, will be a day dedicated to the younger generation with the Giir di Mont Young, a true talent hotbed and a moment of celebration for the town. The evening will continue with the usual atmosphere of anticipation and sharing, in a crescendo of emotions that will culminate in the traditional gala evening in the company of Silvano Gadin and his guests.
On Sunday, July 26th, the spotlight will be on these two:
- Giir di Mont - 18 km: the shortened version with 1,100 meters of elevation gain. A route that offers no compromises and allows you to savor the atmosphere of the premier race over a more accessible distance.
- Giir di Mont - 32 km: the historic, technical, and unforgiving route. 2,700 meters of elevation gain, three climbs, and three descents that require heart, legs, and respect for the mountains.
- Precisely because the Giir di Mont is a race for everyone, the C.A.M.P. Team di Mont has been confirmed. This initiative, now a trademark, allows mountain running enthusiasts to join forces by forming teams of five runners registered for the 32 km race. They will compete in a points ranking, bringing friendship and team spirit to the podium, in addition to their time performance.
And for those who can't reach the Premana trails, like every year it will be possible to enjoy every moment of the Giir di Mont 32 Km via live streaming.

Registration will officially open at 12:00 AM on Monday, April 27, 2026, on the official website and through the ENDU portal. Discounted rates are available for those who choose to secure their bib now:
- 32 km: €40.00 (special price until May 10)
- 18 km: €30.00 (special price until June 5)
