The total positive elevation gain is 2,700 m, divided into three main climbs, each followed by a descent.
These sections define the intermediate timings as follows:
- Premana (1000 m) – Chiarino (1558 m): 5.6 km, positive elevation gain 880 m
- Chiarino (1558 m) – Vegessa (1190 m): 2.4 km
- Vegessa (1190 m) – Bocchetta Larec (2063 m): 5.6 km, positive elevation gain 950 m
- Larec (2063 m) – Rasga (1090 m): 4.6 km
- Rasga (1090 m) – Deleguaggio (1690 m): 7.4 km, positive elevation gain 570 m
- Deleguaggio (1690 m) – Premana (1000 m): 6.4 km
Bocchetta Larec (2063 m) is the highest point of the course.

The Associazione Sportiva Premana organizes, on Sunday July 26, 2026, the 32nd edition of the mountain running race called Giir di Mont, 32 km long.
The competitive event is included in the FIDAL Lombardia and national FIDAL calendars.
The race is included in the WMRA calendar as an Associate Member Race.
1. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
1.1. Eligible categories
The event is open to male and female athletes, Italian and foreign, belonging to the following categories:
- Promesse (years 2006-2005-2004);
- Seniors (from SF-SM to SF95-SM95 and beyond).
Italian athletes
Registrations are open to athletes:
- regularly registered for the year 2026 with a club affiliated with FIDAL;
- in possession of a valid RUNCARD or RUNCARD EPS for the year 2026.
Athletes without the above memberships must contact their sports club to regularize their position, or they can independently subscribe to the Runcard by accessing the dedicated portal on the website www.runcard.com.

Foreign athletes
Foreign athletes may participate in the competition:
- If registered with a foreign Athletics Club or Federation affiliated with WA;
- If regularly registered for the year 2026 with a club affiliated with FIDAL;
- If EU athletes with authorization from their federation or club.
Non-EU athletes must present, in addition to authorization from their federation, a residence permit or entry visa.
NB: athletes registered with a foreign federation affiliated with WA who are not entered by their federation, club, or agent must sign a self-declaration certifying membership to a foreign Federation (Annex 1 of these regulations), as well as complete the medical certificate declaration (Annex 2 of these regulations).
- If in possession of a valid RUNCARD or RUNCARD EPS for the year 2026.
Athletes without the above memberships must, before registering, contact their club or sports federation to regularize their position, or subscribe independently to the Runcard via the dedicated portal on the website www.runcard.com.

Participation requirements for RUNCARD members:
- Italian and foreign citizens residing in Italy aged 20 years (2006) and over may participate, not registered with a club affiliated with FIDAL nor with a foreign Athletics club affiliated with WA, nor with a club affiliated (Athletics discipline) to a Sports Promotion Body in possession of a valid RUNCARD (not expired) issued directly by FIDAL (info@runcard.com). Their participation is subject to presenting a valid competitive medical certificate specific for athletics, which must be submitted, also digitally, to the organizers. These athletes will be regularly included in the race ranking but will not be eligible for reimbursements, bonuses, or prize money and/or vouchers.
- Italian and foreign citizens residing abroad aged 20 years (2006) and over may participate, not registered with a club affiliated with FIDAL nor with a foreign Athletics club affiliated with WA, nor with a club affiliated (Athletics discipline) to a Sports Promotion Body affiliated with FIDAL in possession of a valid RUNCARD (not expired) issued directly by FIDAL (info@runcard.com). Their participation is subject to presenting a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics, which must be submitted, also digitally, to the organizers.
The medical certificate for foreign athletes not residing in Italy may be issued in their country, but must include the same tests required by Italian regulations:
- medical examination;
- complete urine test;
- electrocardiogram at rest and after exertion;
- spirometry.
Copies of declarations and test reports must be kept by the organizing club of each event in which the athlete holding a RUNCARD participates.
Foreign athletes must also complete the medical examination certification (Annex 2 of these regulations).
Participants with RUNCARD membership will be included in the race ranking but will not be eligible for reimbursements, bonuses, or prize money and/or vouchers.
NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE:
- Athletes registered with other FEDERATIONS (e.g., Triathlon);
- Athletes registered with clubs of Sports Promotion Bodies recognized by CONI but not affiliated with FIDAL, who have not subscribed to the RUNCARD;
- Athletes holding competitive medical certificates bearing wording such as running, jogging, walking, marathon, triathlon, half marathon, etc. are not valid for participation. Medical certificates for other sports are not valid: only those explicitly stating “Athletics” will be accepted.
1.2. Medical certificate
To participate, it is mandatory to have a valid competitive medical certificate specifically for athletics.
Athletes with an expired medical certificate cannot participate. If the certificate expires after registration closes but before the race, the registration will remain pending.
If the certificate is not renewed before the race, the athlete will not be allowed to participate.
RUNCARD members should refer to the section “Participation requirements for RUNCARD members” for further details regarding the medical certificate.
1.3. Identity verification
Judges may, at their unquestionable discretion, at any time during the event, verify the identity of one or more participating athletes.
Athlete identity (for participation purposes only) is verified through one of the following documents or another legally recognized document:
- Passport;
- Identity Card;
- Driving License;
- Authenticated school-use photo;
- Personal knowledge by Technical Delegate/Referee/Appeal Jury is allowed.
1.4. Anti-doping controls
Participants may be subject to anti-doping controls carried out by competent bodies in compliance with current regulations. They are also subject to the provisions of art. 50 of the RULES FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF EVENTS 2026, if already subject to disciplinary suspension.
2. REGISTRATION
2.1. Registration methods
Registration for the 32nd edition of the Giir di Mont 32 Km will open at 00:00 on Monday April 27, 2026.
Registrations will close at 23:59 on Wednesday July 22, 2026.

2.2. Entry fees
- The registration fee includes assistance and refreshments along the route, timing chip, lunch, race kit (guaranteed to the first 400 registered), showers, assistance and refreshments at the finish.
- The fees are as follows:
€ 40.00 for registrations made between 27.04.2026 and 10.05.2026;
€ 50.00 for registrations made between 11.05.2026 and 30.06.2026;
€ 65.00 for registrations made between 01.07.2026 and 22.07.2026.
- The payment date determines the applicable fee.
- Payment methods are indicated on the registration portal.
- At the time of registration, the following must be provided:
▪ First and last name;
▪ Date and place of birth and residence;
▪ Phone number and email address;
▪ Club affiliation and any personal sponsors;
▪ FIDAL/Foreign Federation/RUNCARD membership number.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT ANY OF THESE DOCUMENTS WILL RESULT IN INVALID REGISTRATION.
In case of need, it is possible to make a name change between athletes by sending an email to giirdimont@evodata.it, indicating the original and replacement athlete, copying both athletes in the email.
The name change fee is €15.00, to be paid by bank transfer and sent together with the request.
3. TIMING AND RANKINGS
3.1. Timekeeping
Timing will be managed by EvoData. Each athlete will receive a chip integrated into the race bib.
Timing will be GUNTIME (from the gun).
3.2. Rankings and intermediate times
A general ranking and a women’s ranking will be compiled.
Intermediate times will be recorded at: Alpe Chiarino, Alpe Vegessa, Bocchetta Larecc, Alpe Rasga, Alpe Deleguaggio. Intermediate prizes will only be awarded to those who finish the race.
3.3. Cut-off times and maximum time
Two cut-off points will be set along the route:
▪ Alpe Vegessa (Km 9) at 2h15’;
▪ Alpe Solino (Km 25) at 5h15’.
Athletes who do not pass within these times must withdraw. If an athlete insists on continuing, they must remove their bib, will not be considered in the race, and will not be covered by the organization in case of accidents.
The maximum time to complete the race is 7h00’.
Athletes who do not finish within this time will not be included in the official results.
After the time limit, athletes who continue do so at their own risk and must remove their bib.
30 minutes after the time limit, medical assistance and GGG services will cease.
Athletes must report any withdrawal to officials along the course.

* Special and intermediate prizes will not be awarded in case of modified or emergency route. Vouchers may be replaced with prizes of equal value.
3.5. Complaints
Any complaints must first be presented verbally to the appointed Referee within 30 minutes of the official results, and secondly in writing to the Appeal Jury, accompanied by a fee of €100.00, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
4. RACE
4.1. Bib collection
Bib collection will take place at the event secretariat, near the start (Via Venezia, 1).
The secretariat will be open Saturday July 25, 2026, from 15:00 to 20:00 and Sunday July 26, 2026, from 5:45 to 7:00.
It is possible to collect a bib on behalf of others with written authorization.
4.2. Meeting and start
Meeting is scheduled Sunday July 26, 2026, at 6:45, at Piazza della Chiesa di Premana (Via Roma, 1).
Start is scheduled Sunday July 26, 2026, at 7:45, at the same location.
Start and finish are in the same place.
4.3. Route
The route runs on trails and mule tracks and will be marked with arrows, ribbons, and flags.

There will be multiple checkpoints; missing one results in disqualification.
4.4. Equipment
Given the terrain, appropriate footwear and clothing are recommended, including a windproof jacket.
A pole transport service is available for the section Ponte di Varrone – Bocchetta Larecc. Poles must be delivered before the race (by 7:00 on Sunday July 26). They will be returned at the finish.
Poles may be used throughout the race if carried from the start. Assistance from third parties is not allowed except at the designated location.
For safety reasons, headphones are prohibited.
Running bare-chested is prohibited.
Athletes may run in self-sufficiency mode (hydration packs, etc.), provided the bib is visible.
No pacing or accompaniment is allowed.
There will be multiple aid and emergency stations.
4.5. Refreshments
At each refreshment point, drinks and energy supplies will be available. External assistance is prohibited.

Littering is strictly prohibited.
4.6. Showers, lunch, and awards
Showers and changing rooms are available at the sports hall of Premana (Via Papa Luciani).
Lunch will be served from 11:00 on Sunday July 26 at the same location.
Awards ceremony will start at 15:00.
4.7. Emergency route
In case of adverse weather or force majeure, the Jury may modify or suspend the race.
If the route is modified, prize money will be halved.
5. LIABILITY
By registering, participants release the organizers from any liability. FIDAL insurance coverage applies.
The organizing committee is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
The organizer has taken out RCT insurance.
6. PRIVACY
Participants waive image rights and any claims against the organization regarding their use.
